Galaxy Note 8 Gets Fourth Android 9.0 Pie Beta Update

One of the biggest advantages that buying a Samsung smartphone brings is that you will always be first in line to get access to Google’s latest operating system updates. Samsung offers a long update roadmap for all its smartphones. With that said, Galaxy Note 8 users should be happy to find out that they are going to receive the full version of Android 9.0 Pie before February ends. However, there is a way for Galaxy Note 8 users to access the new operating system update ahead of everyone else.

Fourth Android 9.0 Pie Beta

Samsung wants to make sure that the new operating system works without any issues and it has now released the fourth beta version of Android 9.0 Pie to Galaxy Note 8 users. Since this is a beta version of the update, the only Galaxy Note 8 users who can get access to it are the ones who are enlisted in Samsung’s Beta Program. On the bright side of things, enlisting in Samsung’s Beta Program is not complicated at all and it doesn’t take longer than five minutes.

Nonetheless, Galaxy Note 8 users who are enlisted in the Samsung Beta program should keep their eyes peeled at the notifications panel because the new update is going to arrive today. Although, we have to mention that this is a major update and it weighs in at 577 MB. Therefore, Galaxy Note 8 users are advised to download it over Wi-Fi and not through mobile data.

OTA Release

The update sports the “N950FXXU5ZSB2” build number and it is being released OTA (over the air) right now. However, the update can also be manually triggered by accessing the “Settings” panel, now the “Software Update ” panel and then by simply tapping on the “Download and Install” option.
