If you enjoy using Facebook, then we are bringing some great news for you today. The developers who are in charge of Facebook are constantly pushing out software updates that are designed to take the social media app’s performances to the next level and a brand-new one has just arrived. Therefore, today we are going to check out the latest update for Facebook and present everything there is to know about it.
New Facebook Update
The first thing that we want to note about Facebook’s latest update is that it is currently being rolled out via OTA (over the air) channels. However, there is a catch. The update is available only for beta users which means that Facebook users who want to make sure that they get access to the new software tweaks and bug fixes that the update brings will need to enroll in the beta program. Luckily, becoming a beta user for Facebook is fairly simple and everyone uses an Android-powered smartphone can do it.
Nonetheless, the new update is changing Facebook’s build number to 224.0.0.3.112 beta and we are advising all beta users to download it as soon as it pops up in their notifications panel. The reason behind this is that the new update introduces a handful of bug fixes that take care of various issues.
APK Variant
We need to mention that the new update can also be downloaded by Facebook users who are not enrolled in the beta program. The trick to making this work is to manually download the update in the form of APK (Android Package Kit). Furthermore, this type of updates can only be installed on Android-powered smartphones that have the “Unknown Sources” option enabled. In addition, the option can be found in the Settings panel.
