Despite being several years old, Clash Royale is still one of the most popular mobile games on both iOS and Android. Supercell is the developer behind Clash Royale and the way that it is managing to keep this game on top of the popularity charts is by constantly updating Clash Royale with new cards, spells and in-game mechanics. In fact, the latest update for Clash Royale which arrived in January introduced two new game modes, a new arena and a new card. Therefore, the gameplay of Clash Royale always feels fresh.
A Big Update is Coming
Since we are talking about Clash Royale’s gameplay, we have to let everyone know that a big update is coming soon. Supercell has announced that Clash Royale fans should expect a major update to arrive in February. Unlike the January update, this one is not going to focus on introducing new features and it will try and balance the game’s combat instead.
Game Balance Changes
“The way we approach card balance in Clash Royale is a combination of playtesting, listening to the community and looking at the stats. You can expect monthly balance updates to keep gameplay fine-tuned and as fun as possible,” said Supercell in its latest blog post.
Supercell also announced that Clash Royale is going to receive a bunch of important game balance changes and we are going to present them all right now:
- Knight: Hitpoints increased by 2.5%;
- Musketeer: Damage increased by 3%;
- Freeze: Damage reduced by 6% and Free Duration reduced to 4 seconds (from seconds);
- Cannon Cart: The hit speed has been increased to 1.3 (from 1.2);
- Dart Goblin: The hit speed has been reduced to 0.65 (from 0.7);
- Clone: A new clone placement is going to be introduced soon.
Unfortunately, Supercell didn’t announce the official release date for the February update. However, we believe that it will arrive somewhere during the upcoming week so keep an eye out for it.
