When it released the original Badland game, the Finnish company Frogmind enjoyed a smash hit both commercially and critically. Now, the game’s studio is launching Badland Brawl, a brawler in the style of Clash Royale which shares the universe with the original Badland.
How will it look like?
The first Badland was a game pretty much standard, a platformer, although it features some beautiful artwork and intuitive controls. A whole another story will be with Badland Brawl as it traded the platform mechanics for brawler ones which were made incredibly famous by Clash of Clans or Clash Royale.
Keeping what works
It is highly relevant that, when you create a sequel or a game that shares the universe with a previous one, you keep something that would bring gamers from the old player base to your new project. Badland Brawl held the artwork.
As we previously said, the original Badland featured some incredible artwork, and this follow-up version keeps the excellent design. The game renders your clones and other characters in a charming and colorful style with which you will fall in love.
A bit of background story
Badland Brawl is an Android game which you will be able to play without paying for it. Having said that, as it is the case with most of the free-to-play Android games, this one too relies its business model on purchases that occur inside the app.
We know, piling this on top of the fact that this is like Clash Royale or Clash of Clans were overhauled with art inspired by Badland might make you lose the interest in the game. We understand, but maybe you should give it a chance anyway since it is free and – who knows? – you might find that it is a perfect fit for you.
