Asus Zenfone 6 First Images Released Over The Internet

Asus has made a big impact last year when it delivered the Zenfone 5z, a smartphone of incredibly high quality. Now, the company has officially revealed a bit of the upcoming Asus Zenfone 6 on their Twitter account, and just like the rest of the forerunners, it comes with a Snapdragon 855 chipset.

What we found to be exciting is the existence of a headphone jack on the lower side of the phone. Asus has always competed with its market rival, OnePlus smartphones, and this particular move, the headphone jack presence, might offer them an upper hand over OnePlus.

Also, a number of main specs have been confirmed by Gadgets.NDTV in an article which said that an Asus authority has hinted that the new Zenfone 6 will come with a dual camera setup, which will have 48-megapixel and 13-megapixel sensors, and also a 5,000mAh battery.

The ternary slots on the SIM drawer visible in the image released by Asus, confirms the presence of a microSD card, which has been invariably missing in the phones developed by OnePlus.

Twitter user @Sudhanshu1414, a trustworthy source also uploaded some live images of the Zenfone 6. The pictures show an all-screed display, with no notches. A number of upcoming forerunners have all-screen displays but the design and implementations are different. For example, the OnePlus will come with a pop-up camera.

The Asus Zenfone 6 has a sliding mechanism, as seen in the image, which was utilized in the Mi Mix 3 as well. We don’t see an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the company implementing the steady capacitive piece. The grill present on the slider might imply a stereo speaker configuration, but nothing is for sure until the launch event confirmation.

Asus will apparently release three Zenfone 6 models: one having 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and the last one having 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Asus Zenfore 6 release event is on May the 16th, two days after the launch event of OnePlus for their upcoming OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro devices. Zenfone 6’s prices are still unknown but one can expect it to similar to those of OnePlus 7’s.
