OnePlus 8T comes with a new case design

Closer to the launch, the OnePlus 8T will be a refreshed version for the top of the range launched in April, the presentation images obtained on unofficial channels confirming a new arrangement for the camera.

Outlining a preliminary list of specifications, rumors so far describe the OnePlus 8T as a smartphone with a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen, capable of using a refresh rate at 120Hz, compared to 90Hz on the original OnePlus 8. Another feature apparently borrowed from the Pro model is the quad-camera system. It uses a 48MP main camera with optical stabilization, 16MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP camera with macro lens and 2MP sensor for applying depth effects. Although it keeps the photo resolution unchanged, the main sensor would be a better model than the one used with the OnePlus 8 series, possibly even the one used with the Pro model.

OnePlus 8T is almost ready to launch

Framed in the case design, the quad-camera system involves the transition to a rectangular ornament, different from what we have encountered so far with OnePlus products. Ironically, the change comes in the direction of other manufacturers, such as Realme, Oppo and even Samsung, which have used this solution for their own products.

The newer generation, the new smartphone is chosen with the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, helped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Alternatively, fans with a budget will be able to order a OnePlus 8T version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Both will receive a 4500 mAh battery and fast charging function, up to a power of 65W delivered via USB-C cable. Given the launch schedule centered on the September-October interval, the new version of the OnePlus aflagship is practically guaranteed to use the new OxygenOS 11 firmware, adapted after the Android 11 version.
