OnePlus 6T – Will Feature In-Display Fingerprint Scanner and a Water Drop Notch

After a lot of buildup, the second flagship of the year coming from OnePlus has been finally announced. The company seems to keep up their tradition of launching two flagships in a year as it revealed the 6T during an event that took place in New York.

Follow up

After the existing OnePlus 6 was launched, now the successor comes along: the OnePlus 6T. Apparently, it will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a water drop notch. This model will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and it will come with 6 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM options.

Changes

Also, OnePlus changed the configurations of the storage capacity and now the device will come with a minimum of 126 GB and a maximum of 256 GB. We are sorry to tell you that there won’t be a 512 GB variant. The device will feature an OLED screen of 6.4 inches and a resolution of 2340×1080 (402 ppi).

The battery incorporated in the OnePlus 6T will have a 3,700 mAh capacity and the device will come with a water drop notch as well. Furthermore, the company opted for a fingerprint scanner inside the display, meaning that the camera will be the only feature found on the rear of the device.

Also, OnePlus decided to lose the headphone jack and opt for a single Type-C port. Another confirmation from the company is represented by their work with Qualcomm to launch the 5G technology as soon as possible.

Camera

The device will come with a dual-camera setup and two sensors in the back – 16 MP and 20 MP. With the OnePlus 6T, the manufacturer will introduce the Nightscape feature. This is set to improve night photography. Also, the rear cameras will handle 480 fps slow motion recording.
