The 6T smartphone coming from OnePlus has just been unveiled but in an instant the company
already came up with a limited edition version. The phone now features the new ‘Thunder
Purple’ colour which blends from black to purple ‘like a thunderstorm on a summer night’,
according to Pete Lau, the founder and CEO of OnePlus.
He continued to say that “We experimented extensively to test how light interacts with the
colours in order to give people what might just be our most beautiful design yet.” We all can well
agree that it is definitely not a colour scheme which we saw before and it really does look
beautiful, at least from what we can see in the photos provided by OnePlus.
A question comes to mind, though. Will this new electric design increase the price of the phone?
It seems that it will not be the case as we expect the phone to cost exactly the same as any
other variant with standard colours, so take the matter of price out of your head.
Aside from the colour, the OnePlus 6T comes with high-end tech which includes an in-screen
fingerprint scanner, but with a price that is lower than that of its rival flagships. It remains to be
seen if the new colour will help the phone hit stratospheric popularity.
Similar to the midnight and mirror black versions of the 6T, this new thunder purple variant will
come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. The price tag attached to the phone
shows $579. Also available with this version of the 6T are the other features which include the
in-screen fingerprint scanner or the compatibility with Verizon.
As we might’ve mentioned before, the purple colour design doesn’t consist of a solid colour, but
a gradient that fades from black to purple from the top of the phone to its bottom.
