Huawei Y9a could be a mid-range model with a design inspired by Mate 30 Pro

Huawei is preparing to launch a new smartphone from the Y budget range, this time with a design inspired by that of the Mate 30 series, but also with a full screen, without notch. The new model seems to be called Huawei Y9a and could be the model positioned in the company’s offer at the upper limit of the mid-range product range. While the front is devoid of many elements, the back is taken directly from the top model from last fall.

Huawei Y9a looks like a Mate 30, but integrates average components

The phone has already appeared on banners in some stores around the world and we also find information about its hardware configuration. We are talking about a device equipped with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, probably a Kirin 700 series chipset or an alternative from MediaTek, along with a system with four cameras, three of which are active.

The sensors appear to be 64, 8 and 2 megapixels, respectively, probably with wide, ultra-wide and macro focal lengths. The fourth could be a depth camera, while the flash is completely separate from the photo module. However, it is framed in a circle, which is very reminiscent of the Mate 30 Pro model. If we were to guess, we would say this is Mate 30 Lite. But that model already exists and bears almost no resemblance to the high-end version.

Since the front camera cannot be seen in any cutout on the screen, we can assume that it is a retractable camera. The screen also appears to be an LCD, as there is a fingerprint sensor built into the power button on the right side. The charging of this model seems to be at the level of the top devices from Huawei, using SuperCharge technology at 40W.

As is evident on the banner that seems to announce Huawei Y9a, the phone comes with access to Huawei Mobile Services and the App Gallery app store. An official announcement of this model is imminent.
