GTA 5 brought more protagonists, and even though this was definitely a change in the game’s tradition, it was well received.
This approach which doesn’t necessarily follow tradition is something that the RDR2 and GTA 5 developer Rockstar Games has been embracing. The company keeps changing the game-making formula.
According to a recent rumor that’s been floating online, GTA 6 could be breaking tradition by becoming the very first game in the franchise that features a playable female character.
Anyway, these are nothing more than rumors, so this means that they should not be taken as a certainty.
A female protagonist in GTA 6
The origin of this latest rumor that GTA 6 will be coming with a female protagonist is a video by The Know from a few years back which has surfaced online once more.
The fact that it’s back in the spotlight is not that surprising especially considering that it’s basically raining with GTA 6-related rumors these days.
According to Gamerant, the rumor triggers another question: “how many protagonists could appear in GTA 6?”.
GTA 5 featured the gangster Franklin, the Mafia-like Michael, and the criminally insane Trevor.
GTA 6 may feature a similar set up and if this is true then it might be possible that at least one of the protagonists is female.
On the other hand, this would be a pretty cool new element in the game, and it would definitely make it even more interesting.
More recent rumors about the game involve the new game map.
The new map could be huge
DailyStar also writes that this week there’s been leaked a potential GTA 6 map.
This was published online, and thanks to Dexerto, we can now see what the map would look like if we composite all the locations from the previous games into the same place.
The map could reportedly include: “that means Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, Liberty City, Vice City and more.”
