Asus ZenFone 6 Flagship Might Launch This Spring

During the entire MWC 2019, the devices of the future were displayed by companies such as Sony, Samsung, Huawei and others, their concepts being both ambitious and mind-blowing. However, last year’s MWC’s star brand, Asus, was not present at all in the scene. A successor to the ZenFone 5Z was entirely out of our minds when we have figured the absence of the Taiwanese brand. Fortunately, that was just a misconception because the launch of its next-generation flagship smartphone, Asus ZenFone 6, has been teased by the company.

Asus has announced through one of its latest posts on Twitter that later this year the successor to the ZenFone 5Z will be unveiled. The name of it is the Asus ZenFone 6, and on the 16th of May in Valencia, it will become available.

Asus ZenFone 6 Will Come Out In May

In addition to all that, the device has also been teased by the company via a render. Being more attentive to details, we have seen that Asus might give up the notch we were used to in the ZenFone 5Z. Furthermore, the teaser also shows a very thin top bezel on which there are no sensors or cameras.

That might be an indication that Asus is opting for a sliding display, similar to what Huawei and Xiaomi are doing right now. Asus could hide the camera and other sensors under the slider, and to use the front camera, the users might need to slide it up. The OnePlus 7 might also feature such a setup, but we will see that when it is launched around the same time as Asus’ device. Oppo and Vivo, however, use a mechanical pop-up slider so Asus might also want to use this instead on its future Asus ZenFone 6.

Whatever the type of slider Asus uses in the successor of ZenFone 5Z, we know the Asus ZenFone 6 will live up to our expectations.
