Streaming apps might replace television completely in the future. Most applications come with a large library and they have numerous TV channels available. JioTV is one of the apps that managed to surprise us. The application is well known on the Indian market.
Thanks to a recent development, JioTV now has 621 Live TV channels. This is a huge improvement, and it manages to surpass some Direct-to-Home service providers. There are 122 entertainment channels and 193 news channels.
The JioTV app – What can it do?
Here is the official description for the JioTV applications taken from their website:
“Instant access to TV programmes: A wide range of TV channels across languages and genres. Enjoy 575+ TV channels at your fingertips, including 60+ HD channels.
Pause & play live TV channels: Never miss a moment of your favorite TV shows. Pause and play live TV programmes from the point you left off.
Primetime at your convenience: Catch-up service to enjoy missed episodes of prime shows, aired in the past 7 days.
Carry your TV with you. Anywhere TV: Enjoy your TV while you travel for work or fun. Pause watching TV on your phone/tablet and resume watching it on your tablet or phone later.”
JioTV might prove to be a real threat for its competitors, especially since the app offers channels in other languages as well, including English, Hindi, French, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Assamese, Odia, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Bengali. Out of those, there are 46 English HD channels.
If JioTV continues to add English channels, the application could become extremely popular on other continents as well. The app’s subscription is complimentary with all prepaid as well as postpaid recharge packs.
