Google Maps was used for many unusual discoveries in the past. This time, users discovered something interesting in Dubai. The Google Maps Street View images revealed a lake with an uncommon shape. It appears that its official name is the “Love Lake”.
As you could have probably guessed from the name, the Love Lake is a romantic location. More than that, the lakes are visible from space. The Love Lake can be found near the Al Qudra lagoons and they are shaped like two hearts. Bellow them trees were used to spell the word “love”.
The picture was published on November 16 on Instagram. The image was posted by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. He used the caption “To all of you”, followed by a heart emoji.
Visiting the lake
This will definitely become another amazing attraction for tourists. We do not know yet who created, the lake, and there is a chance that the Crown Prince himself is responsible for them. After the picture was posted on Instagram, more people shared their own pictures with the location.
Those who want to go to the Love Lake can easily find it. The nearby roads come with directions for the man-made lakes. Nonetheless, if you want to take a clear pictures of the lakes’ size, you need to take the picture from the above. Using a drone is only possible if you receive permission from local authorities first.
These lakes remind us of the Lover’s Island, a heart-shaped island which is located in the Adriatic Sea. The island is not habited, and the family who owns it has declared that “Nobody lives there so if lovers really do want to spend time alone it’s the perfect desert island.”
